Thank you for visiting!
Visitors has steadily increase since 59ideas started new year 2006. It is an opportune time to reintroduce this blog and at the same time refocus, both for the readers and myself.
A little background.
59ideas started as a companion to my 2006 project to achieve revenue online. First started on WordPress.com, it was move to it’s own domain because access to wordpress.com is blocked in China. (Yes I live in China.)
At the same time another blog was started to keep track of my project at From 0 to Independence. This too had move to it’s own domain and rename Seeking Revenue.
Since then I has started a few more sites (like Ken and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance) and got in many things (way too many).
At the same time, my physical business (no, I’m not a full-time blogger) had improved (a good thing!) and little time is left for the online project.
As you can see many of the posts are now just my del.icio.us bookmarks.
So what is the focus of this blog? More importantly, what should be the focus?
A refocus is needed
When 59ideas was started, the content goal is broadly defined as talking about ideas. That’s really very vague. What is ideas?
I took it to mean what people are doing online and offline, my ideas, ideas on words. Slowly I started to just collect anythings I found interesting, bookmarks creeps in.
And that is how focus is lost.
The refocus
For some time already I had been thinking, how to position this blog?
And these are the thoughts:
- Instead of random posts and links, I want to thread into a story, rather like a journal. Activities and progress across posts should be presented.
- The post will become more personal, more reflective of what I am doing, working on or researching.
- I have alot of ideas. Ideas I’m working on and ideas I have no time to work on but nevertheless spent time thinking. I want to attempt to journal the thoughts and I go through the ideas.
I hope this refocusing with make this blog more interesting for readers to peep into.
