K2 with WordPress 2.3.0

I tried WordPress 2.3 beta on one of my site and found that AdAdvantage didn’t work. Turned out that there are some internal changes that is fixed in K2 svn nightly.

So I updated my AdAdvantage scheme and all was fine.

The code is not packaged for download but is on the Google Code Subversion repository .

Blocking Right Click in Browser

Ever been to a website and you right click on a link to open the page in a new tab (for you Firefox users) and out pops a message

Thou shall not steal.

Ridiculous!

May I say using javascript to block righ click is, well, … so un-2.0.

Tools > Options > Content > Enable Javascript unchecked.

Google Checkout only accept US

The buzz behind Google Checkout is still ringing since it was announced.

I went to check it out and was duly disappointed. Why? Because the service only support US users. No luck for international users.

Replacing Paypal? Not anytime soon.

Leave me your comments.

Two main themes on my links today - Multiple WordPress and New WordPress Theme. And there are the usual random surfing and looking out for best blog.

Multiple WordPress

Looking around for information on how to run multiple WordPress on a single install. Although post on the topic was raised as far back as 2004, there isn’t a straight forward solution yet.

MediaWiki use a lndir strategy which is very straight forward and easy. Has anyone try this with WordPress? The various types of include (see bookmarked posts) gave much problem to symbolic links. I tried and gave up.

Some enterprising individuals are also make money off people looking for multiple WordPress. Found a few of them.

New Theme

Looking at a number of css and design sites because I’m working on a new theme for this blog using some ideas from Google themselves.

I’m naming it Ad Advantage. It’s designed to integrate ads from the beginning instead of just fitting ads into the theme as an afterthoughts.
